The Law Office of Chuck Eckerman specializes in family law including but not limited to dissolution (divorce), custody matters, and guardianship, as well as Estate Planning, which is the preparation of wills, trusts and other related documents according to the clients’ needs. 

We attempt to settle dissolution cases if possible, including offering collaborative law as noted in the page “About Us”.  However, when the opposing parties and their attorneys are unwilling to attempt to reach settlement, we will vigorously represent our clients’ interests by litigating the matter when necessary.

We believe that by offering the Linda’s services as a paralegal, costs can be reduced since she can perform legal research, write briefs and perform many other functions that an attorney would otherwise do, at an hourly rate which is significantly lower than rates charged by attorneys. 

Legal assistants Lisa and Barb perform all of the administrative work required in a law office. They also interact with clients and assist in the preparation of Judicial Council forms for filing with the court.  Their hourly rate, when performing work for a specific case, is less than the paralegal rate.
